Ask a question:

Step 3

Solution

Setup a shift. The third step of the wizard is where you can add shifts. From this step you can add shifts in the system.

Here we have the following fields to complete in order to add new shift:

  • Choose venue – choose for which venue is the new shift, from the drop down menu.
  • Choose employee – choose for which employee is the shift, from the drop down menu.
  • Request acknowledgment – choose the option if you want reminder for the employee, or leave blank if you don’t want.
  • Start hour – type the start hour of the shift.
  • Start min – type the minutes of the start hour.
  • End hour – type the end hour of the shift.
  • End min – type minutes of the end hour.
  • Days of week – choose for which days of the week the shift will be active. For the days you want to have active shift tick, for those without tick - the shift will not be active.
  • Timezone - please choos the right zone for your location. If you miss this option then the clock in/out times will be for the wrong timezone.

This is all about adding one shift. Now click the Next button to proceed to Step 4, or click the Add another work shift button to add one more shift.

If you choose to add another shift, the system will reload the Step 3 with empty fields and to add the next shift you must fill them. After that again according to your needs go to the next step, or add another shift.

You will see that after adding one shift and starting to add a second one, there is a new link named like the previously added shift:

From this link you can edit or delete shift. To edit click on the name of the shift and the system will load the data for the shift. Again edit one or more fields and click Next or Add another work shift buttons. If you want to delete some of the previously added shift, click the recycle bin icon in the link of the shift that you want to delete.

By performing these actions you can add as many shifts as you need in the third step of the wizard and you can edit them at the moment.

Finally, click the next button to continue to the Step 4 of the wizard. Of course you can always add or edit shifts later in mTimeCard, or even in the wizard by returning to Step 3.
